i see ads for this new isuzu suv.
they say it has a inline 6 @ 245hp.
is that the same motor in a jeep suv?????????
would it fit into a dak???????????

I could fit several in the bed of my truck - the only place it would really belong in a Dak.

I would say its the same engine found in the chevy trail blazer and gmc envoy.

ok its GM.
i have a 2000 blazer/trail blazer with a v6 vortec.
it has 195hp.
i like my dak but why cant they get more power out of the v6,i thought thats why they went to the gas sucking mpfi.

So now the vortec v-6 is an inline 6 ? I'd better go look in my boat.
Nope, its still a v-6. If you guys really have trucks, the torque # should be the more important # to you.

It doesn't really matter because Isuzu is going bye-bye. They are in the process of dismantling the lines at SIA (Subaru Isuzu America) as we speak to retool for a Subaru minivan that is due in a couple years. Isuzu will still sell vehicles in Japan, but no more in the US. If you want one, you'll have to buy a Trailblazer. They will probably continue to make parts for GM too. My dad's new Chevy 1 ton with Duratech came with an Isuzu computer. I hate to say it, but I drove this truck and it's nice.
