I just purchased a set of 2003 16x8 rims for my 2002 Dakota Sport 4x4 with the 15x7 rims off of ebay. Tires and rims have 10,000 miles on them.
Questions?? Will I need to make any modifications to my truck or can I just take the service dept just take my wheels off and put these on.??
I currently have 235 75 15 tires on and the 16x8 rims will have 265 70 16. How can I fix the problem of my odometer and speedometer so that they will remain accurate?

I did that on my 2000. No problem with fit. Your new tires are just a tad larger that the 235's and the speedometer and odometer will show little difference.

Just did the same thing 2 days ago. No fit problem. Love the Bridgestone Revos. that I got. Speedo was off by about 8%(70 mph was actually 65 mph) Dealer charged me $65 today to correct it. And wouldn't you know UPS finally delivered my speedo. correction gadget from KRC after I got home. Been waiting so long I thought it had gotten lost.

My 16x8's should be here by next Thursday...shipped from UTAH today with only 10,000 miles. My 15x7's have 21500 and still look new. They will have Goodyear Wrangler RTS same as mine but tire size of 265/70/15 my size now is 235 75 15.
In order to keep my odometer accurate I should take it to the dealer I guess. If not my odometer is going to read (MORE OR LESS) than actual????? Which one will it read??
