I have a 98 with the black steel bumper, so as you know it had rusted to fu#! I need to replace it now because it is also bent, Is there an aftermarket bumper that is better than the original (for rusting) or does anyone have any solutions.

I have the same rust problem starting on my 2000, though i take good care of it. But a truck was meant to see salt right?

they have painted (black) front bumper for $120. not sure if thats exactly what you want but you can check it out if you want

Thats not a bad deal. I've got a 98 which I had to get repained because of rust. A year later and it's rusting again. It cost 100 bucks to get it repainted too so 130 isn't bad for a completely new bumper
