 Subject: Noisy windshield wipers

Does anyone know how to get into the slotted hood panel directly in front of the windshield on a '91? My wiper arms make a loud squeak that comes from underneath that panel. Sounds like the wiper linkage needs some lubrication. Tried spraying WD-40 through the slots, no help. Need to get into that panel to isolate the squeak. Removed the 5-6 screws that line the panel on the engine side, but the thing is still solid. Please help me, the squeak drives me insane.
