Has anyone realized improved gas mileage from a dual exhaust (cat back)on a 5.9L 4x4? I put on a K&N air filter, but have notice no improvement. Also, could I get some feedback regarding 87 vs 93 octane gas. I would love to find a way to improve my gas mileage from 12 mpg.

Octane isnt going to do anything for your mileage, you might want to look into the Hypertech units if you want more horses etc, and it could help mileage. Basically you can custom tune your computer for what your looking for with one.
Exaust will help, duel vs. single probably wont make a large difference in MPG, but a more efficient muffler will help.
Also a bed cover can cut the drag and help out your mileage, but mostly stop enjoying the gas peddle so much *)
