The cheapest would be a set of 92 manifolds and camshaft. Go to the bone yard. Probably $50.00 for both manifolds and the cam.

I can guarantee that if you go to a salvage yard looking for a camshaft you will be disappointed. Nobody, let me repeat, NOBODY is going to pull the camshaft from a salvageable engine and sell it to you for a few piddly dollars. And if the engine isn't worth installing in a vehicle...would you want the cam that was in it?

Well Mr. BS. Seems like your name fits you well because your definately full of it...

Here are 2 camshafts I found in less than 5 minutes online:

1) 1992 5.2L CAM, stock #2530
loacation: Manuel's Used Auto Parts
Pasadena, TX. 1-800-435-5748

2) 1993 5.2L CAM, stock # AW1007
Auto Wrex Plus
Burley, ID.
1-208-678-7580

J_D, neither of these cams had prices listed. Most bonyards leave lots of room for negotiation in their asking prices. As you can see, I can back up what I say unlike some people that won't put their real name on here for everyone to see. I have nothing to hide.

Also, roller cams like the one in your engine rarely ever wear out. Unlike the old flat tappet cams, these cams have roller lifters and therefore have near zero friction/wear, even under severe conditions. Most places will offer you your money back if you see a defect.

The 92/93 cam would be the only used cam better than the one you already have. I didn't do a search for exhaust manifolds. Much like roller cams, there isn't much on an exhaust manifold that can wear out.

If you don't have DSL your searches will obviously take longer than mine did.

I have a set of 93 manifolds, as well as a mopar R/T cam that i will be parting with in the next couple months.

Manifolds are off, and cam has 5000 KM on it, i will be pulling it before march is up.

Let me know if you are interested,

Thanks for the great information I found it most useful and will hopefully be going to the local boneyard to see what I can find.

I agree. I like scavenging through the junk yards for my parts. There are a lot of U-Pull-It junk yards around here. It saves a lot of money if you pull the parts yourself. I have bought some hard to find used parts online.

The exhaust manifolds would be the easiest swap. The 92/93 X-manifolds flow almost as good as the aftermarket shorty headers.
