 Subject: Bedrug smell

I recently installed a bedrug in my '04 extended with a Raven cap. The velcro tapes that are used for installation really stink (as in smell)!
It's been three weeks since install and everytime I open the back I'm greated with this foul smell.
Has anybody else had this problem? Will it go away? I want to use the truck for camping but right now, no way. Any ideas!?

I don't know anything about the bedrugs, but I have used this stuff to absorb odors (wet dog) and it works really well:
Gonzo Odor Eliminator
I bought it at - don't laugh - Linens 'n Things. You can order it online, but they also might carry it at WalMart. They have a few different styles (pet, garage/basement, etc.) but I think they are all the same, just different packaging.
It is some sort of volcanic rock (with negative ions) that is in a netted bag. It is a little dusty the first day or two (you won't see the dust, but you might smell it), but it really soaks up the odors and leaves no fragrance of its own. You just hang it in the area and the odor disappears.
