 Subject: Rear end question

Hello, I have a 1992 Dak Clubcab 5.2L auto 4x4
and I was wondering what kind of rear end the car has. Is it a 8.25 and if so what gear ratio.
Also I like to know what is a OPEN END and 27 & 29 Spline

alot of cars had 8.25s,could have 2.72s,291s,321s
etc[just remember 4wds have to match,front & rear
gear ratios]
open is-one tire will spin one way and the other the oppersite if you have both tires off the ground or one tire will spin if your going straight ahead
27 or 29 spine is the teeth on the axle shaft that goes into the carrier

Call the dealer's parts/service department give them your VIN and they'll tell you. I just recently called to find out on mine and it was no problem at all. Told me what size and ratio.
