Anyone know how much it would cost to replace
Solenoid Pack
Transducer
Governor Pressure Solenoid ??

Took my tranny to have the filter and fluid changed..got it back and it slips from 1st to 2nd under medium to hard acceleration...never had any problems before this...took it back to dodge and of course they said there was nothing wrong. Talked to a mechanic and he said it's possible that when they changed the fluid etc they might have touched something that screwed up the solenoid etc. I have a 97 Dakota V8.

I recently had all of those replaced and the parts alone were about $200 from the Dealer.

TC Solenoid 73.08
Govenor pressure 86.40
Transducer 42.83

These prices are with a Dealer discount of only 20%. You can order on line at places and get 30%.

If you do get these, have a local trans shop do the install. Cost should be around $150. The Dealer will charge you $400 or more.

Although these may not be your problem.

The Dealer most likely used ATF+4 fluid with the filter change. This fluid has additional friction modifers that might be too slippery for your trans. I would try to replace some of the fluid with the type originally used/recommended for your year and see if that stops the slipping.

Good luck!!

I had the exact same problem with my truck and it turned out to
be the Vehicle Speed Sensor and the Output speed sensors were
bad. the VSS costs about 32 bucks and the OSS costs about 19
bucks at my dealer. Both parts were easy to install and took
about 45 minutes to do. Typically if you have a sensor failure
you would get an indicator light so this may not be your
problem but I thought I would let you know my experience with
this problem.
