My windshield when driving directly into the sunlight looks like it has some kinda film.
I've tried almost every type of window cleaner, pure alcohol, Bon ami, glass polish. Any ideas of what else could be used? I might try next either lighter fluid or mineral spirits. Also gonna call the ins. company see if i can get it replaced cause its annoying when direct light hits it!
Thanks

This topic has been brought up alot....One thing that is very important is that you wash your windows in the shade. No direct sunlight. also, is it inside or outside??? If its inside, Ive heard that armor all on the dash gices of some kind of gas when it heats up..well thats my 2 cents

Its on the outside, Im guessing the Brillo pad isn't strong enough to scratch the glass.
Thank you

I've heard it isn't just Armor All that promotes that glare but the natural wear/tear and breakdown of all the plastic and vinyl in modern day vehicles, from being hit by direct sun light.

Had the same problem on my 1998 Sahara till I had to replace the windshield due to two chips...now seeing some film already building up on the inside of the windshield on my 2001 DAK with only 1500 miles.
