A t-stat is short for thermostat. This sits inside a waterneck on the engine block. Factory thermostats are generally 195 for our trucks. It waits until the water temperature hits 195 then opens allowing hot water to get to the radiator to cool off. Electric fans are used to cool radiators, most of our trucks come with mechanical clutch fans which are attached to our water pumps and are belt driven accessories. You gain some horsepower and extend water pump life by replacing a clutch fan with an electric one. Intake system can either mean the air intake flow to the throttle body or the intake manifold on the engine. Some replace the restrictive intake box that holds your air filter in it with a piece of straight pipe and a K&N air filter. You can also modify the intake manifold for more performance. Hope that helps.
