 Subject: oil question

I have looked at some sites dealing with disel engines and looked at the oils they run in their rigs for extended drains. A lot of the guys run non-synthetics like Delvac 1300, Chevrol Delo-400, Rotella multi-grades etc. These oils meet gasoline engine standards by the API, is there any reason I can't or should not run these non-synthetics in my gasoline powered truck, and if so do they add any life to my drain interval?

First, When making your decision ---
--- Keep in mind that "big rigs" use by-pass filtration.
Second, All the oils you mentioned are good fleet oils.
Third, Diesel Oils have more Detergents and Dispersants ---
--- and higher levels of Antiwear and Extreme Pressure additives.
