i have a 97 sport with 5.5 inch suspension lift and 35/1250 tires. going to be putting in a fuel injected 318 mag. with k&n cold air intake. can anyone tell me what the best aftermarket engine components that would give me lots of horsepower and torque for offroading and pulling heavy equipment.

People can tell you a ton of good names, but do your research as well as taking advice. Some people on these boards are full of BS. Gibson headers are a good start though...:)

If you want to shoot for torque, a 360 would give you a better "running start" at your goal. More cubes are probably better for your application. Either way, I'd suggest the following mods. If you want to stick with bolt-ons, a set of 1.7 roller rockers, 50mm F&B throttle body, and a set of Mopar/PPH headers would be a good start. Stick with a 3" single exhaust. I'd ordinarily suggest a Mopar PCM but there isn't one for a '97 4x4. We can do a custom flash that would definitely help your low end. If you want to get into cams, heads, higher compression then we can do that too. Good luck with your project!
