 Subject: KEYLESS ENTRY NOT WORKING

99 dakota SLT V6 - factory keyless entry - stopped working, batteries replaced. Still not operational. Any suggestions ? Dealer said they can chk FOB's, but they both stopped simultaneously so I dont think that is the problem. The FOB's are transmitters; where is the receiver for this system ? Expensive to replace receiver ? What else should I look for here ? Anyone with some good input would be appreciated ! Thanks guys !

yeah I would say rather expensive to replace the receiver as the PCM is the reciever. you might need to reprogam the thing as you might have unknowingly deprogrammed it, there is a digital code that is transmitted to your truck when you push the fob button, if it were accidently erased..........

the CTM (Central Timing Module) controls the fob's as well as the PW, PD, lights, alarm, etc....

Try about 600+ to replace the CTM. I have had 2 so far in my 03. For just the problem you describe as well as the lights/pw/pd etc not working. Good luck, it wont be cheap.

Dealer just quoted me $280 to replace CTM in my '03 QC.
