i have a 97 Dakota 5.2Ltr V8 318 and my check engine light came on. the code was my o2 sensor. I replaced the o2 sensor and the light is still on. Can anyone tell me if there is more than 1 o2 sensor or any way i can fix this problem?

After replacing the sensor you have to reset the computer. You'll need an OBDLL scan tool or similar.

You have 2 O2 sensors. The forward one is used by the pcm to adjust air-fuel ratio under closed loop conditions; the rear one is used by the pcm to monitor the condition of the cat converter. You can try disconnecting the cable from the -ive battery post and then turning the ignition key to Start for a few seconds to discharge any residual charge. Reconnect the cable and see if the MIL is still lit. If it is, you may not have replaced the O2 sensor that was at fault.
