Subject: COB-WEB trans filter??
IP: Logged

Message:
I posed a question as to the brands of the filters sold by Bulkparts.com, and this is what was replied. Ever heard of Cob-Web??? Are they any good? I want good filters for my 45RFE, ever heard of Baldwin? Who has good filters?
******************************************

We are constantly running Out Of Stock on these filters.

#52920 Depending on what brand we have in stock at the time, they are supplied by SPX Filtran or Cob-Web

# 52922 SPX Filtran (? Bypass, I do not know)
But these are the same filters we sell to the local Chrysler dealers.

I bought the Filtrans from bulkpart, heard they were good. Baldwin are probably better, they have a good reputation. Amsoil only could special order the sump filter, not the spin on, as they deal with Baldwin(Hastings) I believe. This may have changed, if you find both filters from Baldwin please post. If I could I would get Baldwin over Filtran.

I just checked the listing in the dealer order of Amsoil (I'm a dealer) and they now list the sum filter and the spin-on filter.

Product TF174

$44 retail.

Cob-Web is a very reliable filter. They have been in the manufacturing business for many years. I have had them as a source for a long time with no issues.
