Do you really think there is a muffler that would give better performance, higher gas mileage, and sounds better, too, that the factory would not aleady have put on the thing?

Flowtech and Dynomax make a good sounding muffler but dont get your hopes up over the gas mileage issue almost all mufflers unless straight exhaust never change mileage, and most mufflers will give better performance but sometimes you cant feel it .

Don't know about the V6, but I really like my flowmaster. They sound really nice with V8's. Just about the only one that I found for better perfomance (that was noticable for my truck)that didn't make my 2.5L sound like a ricer

Well Missy,
since you asked.

I paid for my membership because I spent two full weeks reading archives and found so much usefull knowledge that I wanted to support the forum that gave me that information.

I understand that you may have a simple question and may only want an answer for that one simple question, but there is a decent search engine incorporated into the forum.

Take a moment to think about how many times a question like that gets asked and answered and look at the archives. I don't mean to be rude or flame you, but don't be the type of person to spend 2 hours looking for the phone support # in your VCR manual when all you need to do is find the section on setting the clock and follow the instructions.

Ok missy, most of the guys go with the Flowmaster but I used a Hedman Turbo. Its not too loud (dosen't sound like rice), the cab noise is very low and are avaible in both 2 1/2" and 2 1/4".
All you'll need is have a shop bend a piece of pipe with a 1 inch offset to line wp with the cat and tailpipe. I modified the rear hanger to support the muffler/tailpipe.
