I know all of you RT guys out there are puttin' 52 MM Throttle Bodies on your truck. I'm tryin to boost my 3.9 up a little. If you have a stock TB off of a 360 I might want to buy it from you. Thanks

There is no difference in the 318-360 throttle body, Most say the V-8 tb will kill low end torque on a V-6.

Keep the SFI system. All you need is a few add on's like a Magna flow exaust.

I put a v8 throttlebody off a 1999 Durango with no problems, it didnt kill my low end. It pulls strong from 2 grand to redline.

The 5.2/5.9L TB's are definitely identical. Whoever said that they kill low-end TQ on a V6 obviously never tried it. I'm running a 50mm aftermarket on my V6 ("slightly" modified...hehehe) without any issues. Even when it was close to stock, the V8 TB worked VERY well. (48mm is the corrected size of a stock V8 TB - 5.2 and 5.9L)

BTW, I have a stock 5.9/ V8 TB if you want it... whats it worth to you? hehe.... just kidding, I bought a new one, stock type for like 25, plus shipping and polished and port matched it to my intake, then replaced my stock one with that, so I have an UNmodifided stock TB just laying around, with the bolts, sorry the gasket got a tear in it... I'll sell it to ya for 25 plus shipping... or you can try to barter with me if you think you can get a better price... I really don't have any use for it, but would like to get out of it what i have into my replacement! email me at mattblough78@earthlink.net

Stock 5.9L (R/T or Ram or Durango) makes 198-204RWHP. ;)
Hey, do you happen to have a spare/extra rear R/T swaybar (or know someone with either a QuadCab or R/T that has their stock one laying around)? A buddy of mine is looking for the rear bar setup for his RC Dakota 5.2L.

huhh... fasstdak, didnt think that anyone had that much free time... I mean YOU WENT around and dynoed EVERY SINGLE R/T that was ever made??!!?! just cause the factory spits numbers out doesn't mean that every vehicle conforms to a standard... Mine dynoed out at 221 RWHP before any mods, thank you very much.

The numbers is an average from the R/T lists, R/T member info, and yes...quite a few Dyno runs. There will always be an exception as there are some that make more (and some that make less). There's too much of a variance with the Chrysler's QC and revision of the program in the PCM's to give high numbers. 250HP at the crank is about 200RWHP - math doesn't lie on that...weather conditions, dyno setup, dyno program, and engine/PCM tune make the difference.
If you own one that makes more than normal...that's a good thing - don't get rid of it then. :)

can easily get a v8 to produce that kinda power but, it takes some knowhow to do it with 2 less cylinders.

Considering that the truck started out running 17.4's @ 70-72mph...and now run's mid 14's...that is a rather nice accomplishment. :)
I've also built quite a few V8 Dakota's (and other makes) running 12's so it isn't hard. Power to weight will always come out ahead, but taking something smaller with minimal aftermarket parts available and then putting it to the test (and making a nice impact)...takes more than just "bolt-ons". :)
