Well... The local dealer has a 2003 Stampede with a 4.7 on the lot with just a little over 2000 miles on it. It has the 7/70k warranty still on it, hasnt been in a wreck, and is a A title. I was going to turn in my 02 with 40k on it and get this bugger for a about 2,000 or 3,500 cash depending on where the dealer wants to budge on it.

My problem is buying a used car with so few miles on it. Makes you wonder why the original owner got rid of it so quickly? Any ideas? The dealership said he turned it in to get a new durango but I don't see 2,000 miles covering the difference between timelines.

If you like it, buy it. I bought my Dak a few months ago with 7,800 miles on it. Maybe the guy got fired, divorced, or stationed in Iraq.

My 03 only has just over 6k on it as I bought it in October. Just because it's an '03 doesn't mean it's been driven a year. Lot's of people (like me) wait and buy when then EOY rebates show up. Worked well for me as I got a truck stickered at $32k for just under $24k.

Do a carfax report on it and it will tell you the date it was first registered by the orignal owner.

Personally, I agree with TK. It's got a warranty, if it's junk then just wear them out until they fix it!

Hmmm.... Okay guess I can't go wrong with a factory warranty still in-tact.
