Hey what's up?
I have a 95 sport model and want to remove the factory graphics on the side. Just curious if anyone else has done this and if there was a problem with the paint fading.
Thanks

GT, I removed all the logos and graphics off my '00 Dak QC Sport recently. No paint fade, but my paint is a little newer than yours. Maybe depend on the color and the level of oxidation. I used a pre-wax cleaner (like Meguiar's) to get the gooey glue residue off. Looks great now. Good luck.

On certain colors (especially metallics) when you remove the graphics from an older vehicle, what you have is unfaded paint that has been protected from the sun's UV rays. Even considering that, smooth paint would still look better than worn out graphics.

I removed them the day after I brought the truck home from the dealership.

I used Bestine which is a industrial strength adhesive remover. Its expensive and is clear coat safe. Use it in a cool shaded place, it will loosen up those stickers so that all you need is a finger nail.

I got the dealer to take them off for me. I've never been a big fan of graphics. The day i go pick up my truck the graphics are off but the dumb ass dealer still put his little sticker on there. Needles to say they took it off. How stupid can ya be???
