Magnums hit the scene in 1992. OBDI ran through the '95 model. In 1996, under federal requirements, OBDII was fully in force by all auto makers. The intent was supposedly to get longer life of emissions equipment, but it really complicated things in the process. Your PCM choices are the '92-'95 years. If you hop up the 318, a 360 PCM for full size Rams is your PCM of choice, since the Dakotas didn't get 360's til later on.

Getting into harness questions is a thin area for me. The 360 PCM is different only because it's programmed for the bigger engine. Mainly, it gives some headroom to support more engine mods without having to resort to a Mopar Performance PCM. Retain the stock ignition curve, run cheap gas...stuff like that. If you need the High Perf. PCM, you have to run premium. I doubt the harnesses are different between 2 and 4wd, but again, not 100% sure there. I haven't worked out the Magnum wiring in pre-Mag. truck deal, but you can probably splice into your existing setup. If I ever move to MPI, I'm gonna try like heck to keep it to a splicing deal.

The Magnum computers '92-'95 will operate the A500- all functions, no problem. Also, according to the Mopar Performance catalog, the TC from the 3.9 will also work with the 5.2, so you're good to go.

'92-'95 used one sensor. OBDII ('96 and up) uses an upstream O2 sensor, and a downstream O2 sensor, so stick with the '92-'95 Magnum PCM.

If you are putting a magnium in a pre mag truck you will need a magnium wiring harness from the bulkhead connector forward and you will also need to change the fuel pump to a magnium one. It runs at a different pressure level to support injectors vice throttle body that comes with the premag engines.
