so i was trying to be extra careful when removing my headlight lenses to put in my new HID bulbs when i stripped out that long torx cd t-10 screw !! and i went to walmart, advanced, and true value and none have star shaped;torx screws.

does anyone know where i can buy a torx screw, size cd t-10 online or anywhere?! and if you have every looked by your headlights, the screw is threaded and long, so it also must be this as well. any help is appreciated.

Why were you attempting to turn that? To get the headlights out you remove the 3 10mm bolts holding the assembly in.

You need to get a whole new headlight assembly.

no it hasnt, you have to remove the corner lenses before removing the headlight assembly. but it's not necessary to remove the headlight assembly to replace the bulbs. what you did made no sense.

TORX BITS from Sears! It's far more economical to buy a set (from Sears, Lowe's, Home Depot, where-ever), but if you want just one size you can get one at a time from Sears only.
Althought those guys are right. Changing just the headlights is much easier than what you were doing! :-)

I checked a couple of supply company catalogs I have and had no luck finding anything that would be close. Your best bet may be at a salvage yard or check area body shops for one that may have repaired the front of a Dakota lately. I know that from Dodge You can buy a headlight seperately but it will not have the screw, or you can get the whole assembly, that would be an expensive way to get the screw.
Good Luck!
