Has anyone had or going to have their auto tranny serviced before the warranty goes out on their truck. I heard Dodge is saying that the tranny can go 100,000 miles before its first "tune up"! I dont beleive that and the srevice rep at my dealer said to have it 50,000. Im thinking of doing it right before my warranty expires just in case they should find something it would still be covered. Anyone had their tranny serviced on the 2000 4.7L auto?

I had the tranny flushed at 16,000 on my 2000 4.7l auto for preventive maintenance reasons. I plan on having the tranny flushed every 15k-20k since I do alot of STOP and little go in Atlanta traffic.

dude,
Remember Chrysler makes shitty trans for Dodge. i installed a trans cooler and changed the tranny fluid to synthetic. i'm planning to change my tranny fluid every 15,000 miles or so. i ain't takin any chances. just my 2 cents.
