... the board mods here are TOO slow (from what I hear from others) to kill very bad posts which need DELETING.
But what do they do now????
RUIN the board by turning off ALL HTML tags!
If I can't use <b>BOLD</b>, <i>ITALICS</i> and especially <img src="http://www.dodgedakota.net/images/topname.gif"> POST A PIC of something of interest, what GOOD is a forum???? It is much easier to get your point across to others with the forum html tags.
I'd rather the moderators just REMOVED bad posts as recommended from other honest users (as I have seen requested for WEEKS) than just KILL the good features for everyone including US members who PAID for membership!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe they should get some more volunteer moderators? I know there are some members who have been here a LONG time who would be great for it!

I didn't mean to leave html tags off. I turned them off the other day when I was cleaning up the OT board. I forgot to turn them on again, sorry for the confusion. There are a lot of people here that I'd like to have as moderators but the site only allows for one at the moment.

cant this site turn into a free site? i mean theres a million free sites out there so why cant this be another 1. imo it would be better so we can all become members and it would make controling the boards much easyer

It is a free site to use. Membership is just an added option to show that people supported the site. Without the people who pay the memberships, I'd have to take even more out of my pocket to pay to keep the site going. There's no such thing as a 'free' site. Ever notice how most 'free' sites have tons of annoying popups? They have to pay for it some way. No high traffic sites are cheap to run.

I saw some one in the members only area scream for weeks for you to remove that post in there.
I figured someone here got lazy and just killed all the html tags!!!
I'm glad I was wrong this time.
BTW... paying for membership is not that big of a deal. I like it the way it is. You can post all you want. But if you want to reserve your name and have a profile you can pay a few bucks to support a site that has NO POP UPS!
