I love living by the GM tech center.... So this white collar shmoe pulls up to me at the light with a brand new colorado complete with manufacturers plate. Rev's his engine and I could barely notice over my radio. I rev'd back and it was on.... He chirps from the light, I break them loose. He jumps close to 1 car length ahead of me, I pull up. I close the gap, and even up with him. By the 1/8th mile mark I'm 1 car length ahead of him. approx a 1/4 mile im at least 3 car lengths on him, hit the hazards and declare a victory. Pull up to the next light, we have a talk through the windows. He asked what I had in my truck and I said stock for everything but exhaust, and told him I had a V6 for giggles (i really have a 4.7), he looked impressed and told me i was lucky he wasn't driving a Silverado SS. I said go get one, I'll race that too!
So there you have... no worries from GM's midsize market.
