 Subject: Average Trans Temp?

I was wondering if anybody could tell me the aveage tranmission temp of a V6 club cab auto 4x4. I have just installed an Autometer trans temp gauge. The temp sensor was installed in the forward trans line just before the radiator.
Today I started the truck and drove on the highway at 65mph for about 15 min and the temp never got past 125deg. Then when I got off the hiway and started driving in town the temps were between 150 and 180degs.
I am just wondering if these numbers seem average for my truck.
