Subject: Front Brake Line Caution
IP: Logged

Message:
Fellow Dak Owners

Check your front brake lines coming out of the calipers. Look at the bend in the steel line as it goes up over the caliper. I found worrysome wear from the brake line contacting a frame support. It appears that it results from tight turning when the suspension travels to the near limit.

With the wheels turned to max and parked the clearance is enough to miss the line. However driving at freeway speeds or offroading when the suspension travel is taxed it may come in contact with the steel hard line and over time wear a hole in it.

I will be making adjustments to my lines to end the problem.

Just a caution note here, check for possible damage.

Better safe then sorry.

Todd
