Subject: tire question new to 4wd trucks

I am lookin to put larger tires on a 2001 quad cab 4wd no lift. Will 285/75/16 fit my truck or will I need to adjust my t-bars or put in 1.5" lift blocks. Thanks

Most 4wd Daks come stock with 31's or smaller. 285 is roughly 32. A 32 will fit stock, but dont expect to get much flex without tire rub on your fenders and inner wheel well. I did the same thing before I put a kit on. I put the torsion bars from V8 on my V6, and cranked em alittle. Also I put add-a-leafs in the rear, I ended up with about 2" of lift fom under $100. My 32's didn't rub at all, I got great flex with little or no rub.
