Subject: Really Weird Problems Please Help!!

Ok, lots of things started happening at once. Truck will no longer idle when stopping. When I stop at a light it dies. It starts right back up and idles fine. The speedometer does not work until I hit 20 mph. When I slow down to 20 mph the speedometer drops down to 0. The ABS and brake light is also on. All this happened at the same time. Can anyone please help? I'll try anything.

Thanks

Sounds like you may have a bad ground wire connection somewhere. Check and clean your battery posts and make sure tight. Also check all ground wires. Alot of people don't know but on some Daks there is a main ground behind the kick panels on each side of dashboard.

Does this happen simultainiously with your application of your brakes? That's a place to look for a short if it is.

The lights stay on as soon as I start the truck.

Speedometer and idle problem is constant.

not sure about the ABS, but I'm wondering if the idle problem may be a vacuum hose that is split or came off somewhere...just a thought.
