I've been having some problems with my 96 5.2 AT. It is a 42RE and when it is cold it seems not to know what gear to be in after letting off of the gas. Also it shifts out way too early. If you mash the throttle, it will shift out at 4200 RPM instead of at redline 4800. Since this is all electronically controlled, I wasn't sure if the problem was in the computer or in the transmission itself? Anybody else have any problems like this? I hate to spend a bunch of money on a tranny rebuild when it wasnt the problem after all. Thanks!!
