Subject: rattling noise when rpms winding down 94
IP: Logged

Message:
I have noticed that if i sit there and idle and i rev it up to say 2500 and release, or i am driving along in 4th and i clutch and release the gas around 2000 that i will hear a rattling sorta noise.

This does not happen if I wind it down slowly.

I was wondering if it could be the famous catalytic converter problem. If so, I can hallow it out or buy a replacement. Also, did the 1994s have the exhaust gasket problem? I am concerned that the O2 sensor enriching the fuel mixture is costing me in gas milage and performance.

Any suggestions?
