Hello - I just picked up a Ventshade Bug/Stone guard for the hood of my '99. I am hesitant to put it on because it tapes to the paint! Can anyone tell me if there's a screw-in type available? If not, should I be worried about the tape or does it come off just fine if/when I need to replace the guard?

I have a lund bug/stone sheild on my 97 and you loosen the bolts that hold the grill on and it slides between the hood and the grill and then you tighten it down...I love it...

You da man! :-) Thanks for the info. I didn't realize that could be done. I had a Lund screwed into a Ranger I had years ago and it was great. I'll look them up now.

Yes Wal, definitely get a Lund. Put a Lund Interceptor on my 2003 and LOVE IT.
I had the Ventshade you were talking about earlier first, it was falling off of the tape and hood within a few weeks, came right off with no scratches thankfully.

I took it back to Pep Boys. I'm gladd I polled the collective on this one :-)
Lund's site is a little lousy. I am trying to get some better pix of their different models on the Dak and not having a lot of luck. I'll have to check tonight when I have more time :-)

P.S. How many grease fittings does this bitch have?! Offhand I think I greased 8 zircs. My old trooper had as many but no other car/truck I've had :-) WKS
