Ok guys heres the deal...I recently installed a new cd player in my 92 Dak...simple enough..clean install. AT night I noticed the dash lights don't work! cigarette lighter works, o/d button lightswork, and power mirrors work. I checked the fuse...and its good. what happened?? Is there a ground wire near the stereo that I hit??

Please help I can't afford to take it to a mechanic. Thanks

This is a long shot but you didn't turn the dimmer down all the way by accident??? Other than that did you use a good wiring harnes to do the install or just cut a tape??? The dimmer controls go through the factory head unit.

I'd pull out the stereo and look for a loose, hanging wire...

There is no ground in the facorty wiring harness, so you may have got a negative signal from the illumination wire when the lights are off. ground directly to the frame and you should have no problems,
