Subject: scraping while turning left
IP: Logged

Message:
2002 qc V6 and it has a squeaking/rubbing noise while turning left. Could this be a result of being parked for the summer? Should I wait a little before going to the shop or is something actually toast somehow. It didn't have the noise when I parked it. What could it be??
I have onle 13 000 Km's.
Thanks

I have about 4,000 miles on my 2003 Quad Cab 4x4 with 265s for tires. It also rubs or something when turning a tight left, but not a tight right. My cousin has a 2002 club cab 4x4 and same tires, doesn't have the noise I do. A friend at work has a 2003 standard cab 4x4 SXT that makes the noise mine does. Anyone know if something small changed in the wheel well from 2002 to 2003, I have not got to check it out too much.

check the plates behind the brake rotors. sometimes they rub on the rotor when the wheel dips in a turn

Check your steering stops. A lot of the DAKs grind when you make turns esp. when going over a bump or when you back up, turn the wheel and then go forward. Everyone thought it was ball joints etc... turns out it is the steering stops. Metal against metal. the dealer used axle grease on both parts and noise went away. I know it's a pain in the ass, but it has solved my noise problem for 4 months now!

Fantastic idea. It is great because it is a rags to rihces idea. It would almost prevent one year bust players or teams because if they bust they are gone till they come back. This system will even show, short term or long term, who the best teams are. Great idea B!
