 Subject: New Tires - A/T vs Highway

I have a 2001 QC 4x4 5.9L with 265/70-16's. It has the standard Good(for a)Year's on right now. So I know I don't have long before they wear out. I'm looking for opinions on the next tire I should get. 90% of my driving is on road. I'm in Erie, PA so at least 50% of that is in snow/ice. There is the occasional minor venture into some mud but nothing substantial. (not going mudding maybe just venturing into the back acres to get firewood or something)
So basically, does anyone have any recommendations for a good next tire? Something that will wear very well, ride nice, but still handle snow and even some mud every now and again.
I'm leary to go with a Highway all season, but I'm not sure if the BFG A/T's or the Bridgestone Revo's are worth the extra money.
I appreciate everyone's thoughts!

The BFG A/T's are worth the extra money - I've been plowing with them for many years, great grip and still run smooth on highway.

the bridgestone dueler revo's AT are without a doubt the best tires I have ever used. Great in snow or rain and you can't even hear them when you fly down the cement slab, normal driving conditions. Go to tirerack.com and check out the ratings and comments they are tops in every catagory.

check out the yokohama geolander h/t-s g051 at the tire rack - scored 8.9 out of 10 for first in it's class, I had yokos before and they're made in USA and they're good tires,,,, I just ordered four

just got my 235/75R 15 yokohama geolander h/t-s g051 from the tire rack and I understand why they scored 8.9 out of 10 for first in it's class. They were made in Japan, 4 ply, raised white letters, goverment tread score 500 with A traction and B temparture, XL load 2200 pounds. WOW was I impressed and only $ 62 bucks. But make sure you see the G051-g052 or g053 there are some low end ones at the tire rack.
Can't wait to put them on.
