i had it for a month, took it off and now there are permanent imprints on my tailgate and in my opinion made the truck look like sh*t.

'01 R/T Regular Cab, Intense Performance Air Intake, MSD6AL w/8.5mm wires, FlowMaster 40 series split dual, Autolite 3923's, 180° Thermostat, Brass contact distributor cap and rotor, IAT relocated, Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic Motor Oil.

i see you have an rt dakota, i was referring to the "RT" extang cover, that is simular to the access cover. it is a new type of cover for them. is that the one you had or another model of extang covers?

ignore him as everytime he posts an opinion it is in the negative.I would however be wary of extang as far as customer service goes. I have sent them 6 e-mails without a response from them dating back 7 weeks ago with just a simple question about their warranty. If they can't answer simple one in 7 weeks I really don't think they want repeat business. BTW the Extang coner I have/had on the Dak is 6 years old and after it was removed there were no "permanant imprints" on the gate or the bed. Must have been a faulty installer!
