With a 2002 Club Cab 4x4 with the V8 and Sport Plus option group I pay $100 Canadian per month. That's full coverage/replacement insurance. I'm 27, single and I have two tickets. One is a ticket for driving without a seat belt and the other is for driving with no license (had expired 4 days previous... can you believe that?) I'm not complaining but had I got a regular cab, standard options, v6 engine with no bells or whistles it would have been a lot cheaper. But then I wouldn't have liked my truck. You gotta pay to play.

Regards,
Aaron

wow some of you guys are getting hosed good. I had progressive insurance full coverage at 135 a month, switched to farm bureau for 55 a month. The agent gave me a farmers discount cause I own 3.5 acres of land. I aint no farmer though. I do love the discount. Insurance is the biggst legal scam goin.

2003 Dodge Dakota CC FT4wd, 4.7 V8, numerous options...42 y/o male, no tickets since '85 (speeding, 10mph over), no claims since '81 (Bambi didn't make it across the road).
Shelter Insurance---Full Coverage $364/6 months--$728/year
I was with State Farm for the last 30 years--they quoted me $470/6 months...this was WITH the multi-line discount (they also insure my house & motorcycles). If I'd kept my '84 Monte Carlo SS on their insurance, they'd have dropped it to $395/6 months. However, they wanted $160/6 months for the Monte. I can get the same full coverage with ZERO deductible through Grundy Worldwide for $175 a YEAR. Grundy insures classic, antique, & show cars. Plus you can quote your own value on the car. Guess who insures my Monte now?

I work at a body shop and deal with insurance companies every day. Progressive, IAG, geico and other cheap insurance is great for the payment, but if you have a claim, it all used and aftermarket parts. And in some cases you get stuck with part of the bill if you dont take it to one of their shops that works for a much lower labor rate. I have a 2003 VW in here now tha tthe customer has to pay her deductible as well as 20% of the total claim because she chose to use my shop instead of the insurance companies "prefered" shop which works for $10.00 / hour less than any shop in the area.
