I've been having a problem with my 98 SC Dakota 3.9v-6. I had a little help from the forum before so any would be appreciated again. All aspects of my ac work, PSI for the system is fine, clutch fine, accumelator fine. I even bought another pressure guage just to make sure that the pressure was good throughout the ac system. R-134a is at proper amount. But temp should be 35-40 degrees below outside ambient temp, its only 20-25 degrees below. I did notice this morning at cooler temps, the coil seems to be frozen over I can't see it but the evap drip from it had a run off for more than two hours after the truck was turned off telling me the coil is frozen over. This is a indication of low or improper charge on the freon but as I stated before I checked it with more than one guage and its good. Please someone help I'm stationed in Mississippi and its hot!!!!!

Where's the air intake in a Dakota?

For my van it's right at the feet of the front passenger. So when it wasn't blowing as much as usual I opened up the unit and vaccumed a good bit of leaves and other stuff from the front of the evaporator.

Its in the same spot fresh air is right below the front windshield and the recirc is front passenger side under dash. I'll look into it but according to the Haynes manual on it I would have to disconnect the freon lines to remove the coil from inside the dash or for that matter to access the recirc and air intake assembly. And I don't really want to have to dissasemble all that.
