I need rotors now. Not sure about the quality of these however...You need to talk to someboody who has bought from these folks. If they are crap, you will be worse off than I am now with the warped OEM rotors. LMK what you find out if anything. They have six pair.

While I don't have any experience with cross drilled rotors, I know people who do. And EVERYONE of them are cracked. Now the cracks don't hinder stopping ability, it is a matter of concern. Of course with the cross drilled holes, they cool faster than non cross drilled rotors. I have powerslots and they work just as well under normal conditions as the cross drilled ones.

Just my $.02

looks legitimate to me - $75 is the starting bid so maybe it will actually cost more in the end? the feedbacks look good, a few complaints about sloooow shipping..

anyone have ideas about how i can sell my dakota?

Well, Im not convinced on those rotors. I think I am going to hold out for Powerslots. Anyone know the best place to buy powerslots? RSH, Wanna trade for a 2000 RT or a 98 Stang convertable? :)

My cross drilleds cracked up also. Now I run powerslots and they have held up and perform much better. From the figures I have seen slots are better than most cross drilled set ups. Sloted and drilled rotors perform the best, but they also cracked up when on another dak I have worked on. So slots seems to the way to go at least from what I have seen.

I just got a set of these for my 01 Dak 4.7 4wd cc. Factory rotors warped first at 10k and after dealer turned free warped again in less than next 10k. Replaced with NAPA ceramic pads and Raybestos rotors (set was about 150 plus shipping but they were touted to be far superior to factory oem). Result: warped in less than 5k. Now I'm going to try these drilled rotors with Hawk pads. The Canadian company warrants these rotors against warping and cracking for one year. At my mileage rate, I'll get nearly 18k or more before that time is up, so as they say, "only time will tell." Let you know how it goes. By the way, paid the opening bid of $75 for the pair plus $35 shipping (seemed a bit steep but they did come from Canada).

kinda shady, seems a kid with too much time on his hands and a CNC machine buys stock dakota rotors for 25 dollars each and uses his program to cross drill the rotors then sells them, marks up SH and makes about 30-50 every sale lol. maybe not b/c he would go thru alot of $$ drill bits.. anyways, seems everyone says cross drilled crack alot, well i have a 98 5.2 dakota sport and the brake pads and rotors are new (oem) but having drums in the back my brakin sucks and i hate the nose dive feel, so i baby the brakes and since i have a 5spd i just put her in nuetral when i have to stop soon. so i hardly brake hard, so would cross drilled still crack if someone never brakes hard? thanks

I installed KVR crossed drilled rotors and pads about 3 months ago. Proper break-in of any rotor is the key. Thermal shock is what weakens and cracks rotors. I know a few guys with the same KVR rotors on there Dakotas & Rams and none of these guys had problems with warping or cracking. Because they followed the break-in procedure. Don't forget properly torque wheel nuts, helps against warping.

From the research I've done, I personally think slotted rotors are not worth the money. They don't cool the rotor, all they do is eat up pads. That's what the slots are designed for, cutting into the pads for a cleaner contact surface with the rotors. I good aftermarket rotor will do the same job as a slotted rotor for half the price.
