Hawkeye- Great looking truck,I see you have a K&N filter does it just fit in place of your stock filter, and did you have to reset your computer, and do you think it made a difference and last do you have a part no.? Also I see you have 32x11.50 tires on the stock wheels, did you gain noticable ground clearance and did you notice a drop in perf(acceleration)? I am afraid if I put big boots on with 3.55 gears I will lose power. Sorry for all the questions John.Truck looks great keep up the good work.

I didnt really gain much in the way of ground clearance. The best gain was in the overall traction and flotation. I did loose just a tad off the line but the 4.7 makes so much usable torque that I can still get up and go. I will be switching to 3.92 gears as soon as money permits. You will tell a bit of a difference but it wont be really bad. If I never get the money to change my gears I wont fret to much. Still runs ok. I just want to be able to pull a little more. Yes I have the part number for the K&N but it is at home will have to post it when I get home from work. It is just a drop in but is better than the stock one. I have reset my computer, but mainly because I added my exhaust, the filter, a jet chip, and a tb-spacer. Cant hurt to reset it though. Will let it learn the new airflow.

I put a K&N drop in filter in mine too...

So do you have to do something special to reset the computer or will it do it by itself?

Thanks for any advice.

It will relearn itself slowly but to do it yourself quicker, just disconnect the negative terminal and turn the ignition on and hold for 30 secs. Reconnect the neg terminal and your done.
