i've been searching lots of old threads here and other places to learn the top dino oils you can buy off the shelf. I have always used Valvoline. what other oils do you guys recommend. what gas too.

i read a lot here from amsoil. i have known about amsoil for over 12 years. i beleive they are really the best. my problem is all my own cars and trucks are from the 70's and i think dino is best for them. that is all they ever had.

i read about mobil one too. they are being sued for human rights abuses overseas so i don't use them or their gas.

oh, i get to drive a new dakota at work.

As far as dino goes, (I am of course a synthetic lubricant user), I would rank them currently as follows: (1) Chevron Supreme (2) Formula Shell (3) Castrol GTX (4) Union 76. My information is based on UOA's (Used Oil Analysis), tech data, discussion and "extrapolation" of data from here, there, and everywhere.

I hope this is helpful !!!

Doesn't matter when the vehicle was made. Synthetic is always best. If you're going to buy crap, it doesn't really matter what brand of crap you buy.
