Subject: Radiator Fan Problem...
IP: Logged

Message:
I have a dilema. My radiator fan doesnt want to turn off. It's trying to cool it down, but its not running hot. My temp gauge on console says its fine, and it's not smoking or that rotten egg smell :) But my fan is kicking still after i turn my truck off (2000 SLT 3.9). For now ive just been pulling my fuse to cut it off when i go into work and when i get home. Dad and a buddy seem to think it may be a foul sensor. Any info would be VERY greatful :) thanx fellas

Open your hood-- take off the black cover on the driver's side fender, and flip it over-- there's a 'road map' of your relays-- If the fan is still on after the key is off-- it's a stuck relay-- Easy to find, it'll be the one that is very hot to the touch- and or melted.

I've had 3 do this.

You can pull it out-- swap it with the one for your fog lamps to fix it temporarily. The relays are a dealer only part, and run about $7.00

Me love you long time :) Thanx for the help bro. It is VERY appreciated. Also I have access to some vinyl stickers (a buddy makes them for a sport truck shop here in town)and can do up some nice Ram heads (my evil one on my sliding glass is sick) and just about anything else (solid colors only) and probably a little cheaper than you'd pay at a shop or something. If anyone's intersested just make a post or shoot me an email.

Thanx :)
