I put 2" blocks in the back of my '01 cc. Rode ok but after a while it got really loud,,it was the shocks. I just got mine lifted back to stock, and the shocks seem to be much rougher now, and still make a loud 'thunk' sound when I hit bumps. I'll be replacing all four soon. I also lowered the front by two inches,,but the shocks are ok. Had it lowered for over 40k mi.
