 Subject: Air Bag Dash Indicator Gen III

From Sunday night through Monday morning, the "AIR BAG" dash light, would pop back on after the usual engine start cycle (indicators light, then go out). I was considering visiting the friendly Dodge dealer, when the air bag light decided to behave normal again! Any clues, anyone? No bumps or bruises to the front end. 2001 4.7 5-speed.

I know there was a recall on the clockspring. The bad clockspring causes the airbag circuit to be open and trips the light. I'am not sure what years were recalled, but i know my 99 was.

The light came back on yesterday (Tuesday) and is still on. Thanks; I'll mention the recall to the dealer.

hey i got a 02 quad cab 4.7 auto and i just got the same light on the dash. i am taking it to the dealer on monday
