 Subject: Anyone installed a Trans Temp Gauge?

I have a 1998 Dakota 4x4 5.2. I tow heavy loads on a regular basis-Car trailer(loaded) and a boat. I want to install a temp gauge on my trans, and was looking for some how to info. Also curious as to who sells gauge pods for our trucks. Thanks for any input.

You can install an external tranny filter and plug the sensor into that. It's not as accurate as plugging into the trans it self, but it will give you an idea if you are running hotter than normal.
