my 94 dak does not have a tach, which is ghetto as hell...Is it possible to put one in the factory gas guage position and move the gas guage to another spot on the console?

I think you would be happier finding an aftermarket tach and installing it somewhere you can easily see it.
My factory gas gauge is pretty small. I don't know if you would want a small tach. I don't know if they even make one that small.

the non-tach dashes have a 3 3/4" gas gauge, not the 2 1/16" that ones with a tach had, on the dashes without tachs, the hole where the gas gauge on tached dashes is a seatbelt warning light, but you would be better off getting an aftermarket one
