radioman - the governor isn't the problem in florida. its the people. no offence, but after the whole voting hanging chad thing, floridians look pretty silly to the rest of us. i mean really, how hard is it to punch a hole in a piece of paper?

Look at where that happened though Billy Bob. It was dominantly in West Palm, retirement capital of Florida. And probably 99% of those retiries came from UP NORTH. That means they came from the rest of you.

nah, i live in california. when we dont like our government any more, we change it. and we don't have problems voting. our only problem is that we have too many ignorant liberals, as may be the case in many parts of the country. used to call them "tree-huggers", but i think "ignorant liberals" is better. i live near some of the best mountain bike singletracks in the western US, and now we can't use them because the endangered western peninsular bighorn sheep are breeding nearby. go forbid we should come upon two bighorns going at it and startle them.
all our open desert isn't getting paved over - its getting gigantic "housing developments". mostly low-income. yay.

Down here we can still use our bike trails. Or at least the ones that don't have housing developments and golf course communities on them.

Development is going to happen. Our local government leaders are just doing a really piss poor job of managing that development. So if they can't figure it out, then let the voters decide what they want.

No personal crap here but To most of the counry, Cali is full of goofy azz sh!t. Gov. is a frikin action hero! I have relatives out there and Id never cut it living there.

About the old people, yeah they come from up north, fill up our stores and roads, doctors, etc. But do not help anything. And then theres the migrants who are here. Some of them cant even communicate in english and I know many of them are group voted. Meaning their boss, head of a farm, takes his whole "Legal" crew to the polls to vote his way. I know this from proven fact with people my family knows. How the hell are we to get anything done with people who cant see and people who cant communicate.

And lastly look at other people in the 49 states that should have voted. The minute screw up vote in Fla shouldnt decide a prez election! With what 250 million people in the US. Com'mon. I am tired of everyone looking at Fla with a bad light cuz people who come here from other places. Go home New Yorkers, Illinois people, Penn. people, and let FLA be.

Ok over excited, back calm now! Later.

All those Yanks from up North and Canadians and such, they all keep us here in Florida from having a state income tax. Having worked for a couple years where the state income tax is 9%, well, I can tell you that it takes a huge bite out of your weekly paycheck!

This is true but there are other ways in which it costs us. Road repairs, water use, energy use., And gas prices. Sitting in traffic. Espically on sundays. But its all good.
