I have a 91 V8 with 4x4 and the 4spd auto and I've got one issue with it after having taken it in numerous times to the dealer which they still haven't fixed. They did manage to fix the OD button to make it work.
Here's what it's doing.
The tranny will shift fine through the gears from 0 mph all the way up through OD, BUT when I get on the gas to have it downshift, it WON'T downshift.
The only way it will downshift is if I manually take the shift stick and throw it down into the gear I want. Or two, I can wait till I get to a dead stop and then it will be fine once again and it will go through all the gears just fine.
It just won't downshift whatsoever when going.
Any ideas what the culprit(s) might be?
Does it have anything to do with having a dirty Throttle Body (harder to detect the vacuum?) I don't know....
