One of the first magazine reports said 8.0 seconds. Seems like I saw some mid-to-high 7 second numbers elsewhere.

I can't believe it is that slow. The 1500 must be a tank. The lightning is only rated at 35 more hp and look how fast it is.

Car and Driver got 7.8 out of the Ram 2500 QC with the Hemi. I think it was a 4x4 too.

Your question is kind of broad. Obviously, a Hemi 1500 Single Cab is going to be a lot faster than a fully loaded QC 2500 (etc etc).

The Ram needs the Hemi's torque to move its 5000 pounds. Refridgerator Perry didn't make the cut in the 100 yard dash.

Also keep in mind that the Hemi is only in automatic until you get into the 2500 and 3500. So the automatic is gonna slow down a little.
