whats up everybody, i have a question, my problem is as follows. Every morning and sometimes during the course of the day when i start my truck it takes two trys to fire it up. It cranks over the first time and nothing happens, crank it again and it starts right up. Again 9 out of 10 times it only happens after the truck sits all night. Has anyone had this problem? I have a 2000 4.7 cc

Do you have your original battery? Mine died on me last weekend after 3 years and 45K. I have the same truck as you. Go have your battery diagnosed. If its not your battery your plugs could be fouled.

Could also be a bad seal on your fuel pump. My truck does the same thing, if it sits for an hour or so. Supposedly, there is a seal on the pump that keeps the fuel from bleeding back into the tank after you shut off your engine. Once the engine starts it runs fine, but it takes a few attempts to start it because it's pressurizing the fuel system. It sounds like your problem is less advanced than mine, it usually takes me at least three tries. I replaced my battery thinking that was the problem, but it didn't fix it. I believe the only solution is to replace the fuel pump. I've tried to locate an aftermarket part but no one seems to have one for the 24 gallon tank that comes with the QC, although you shouldn't have a problem with your CC. You can check your battery first, but if that isn't it then it's probably your fuel pump.

Thanks for the replys, what i did was i turned the key half way and let the fuel pump run for about two or three seconds and its starts up perfectly, so i guess somewhere it is loosing pressure, i,ll have to give it a pressure test. Thanks again for the help!
